The Data Manager can be used to import your vendor information from a .CSV or tab delimited file. The instructions below outline how to use Data Manager to accomplish this.

Note that this is the same process you would follow to import any of the different available datasets into QuoteWerks using the Data Manager.

1. Navigate to Utilities -> Data Manager.

2. Use the Export function to obtain a file with the necessary column headers. To do so select the Export Tab, select Vendors as your data set, select Create Empty (template) DataSet file with Basic Columns, and click on Export.

3. Clicking Export downloads the empty DataSet as a .CSV file. Open the file and begin filling in your vendor's information into the predefined columns.

4. Save the file.

5. Go back to the Data Manager, click on the import tab, and next to DataSet select Vendors. Click on Import.

6. Navigate to the file, select it and click Open.

7.Once the import is complete you will receive a notification noting Import Complete! Click OK.

8. The vendor import is now complete and you should verify everything was imported correctly by navigating to Utilities -> Vendor Maintenance. All of the vendors you just imported should now be listed.

10. If you click on a vendor and select the edit button you will see all of the information you entered has been imported into the vendor record.
