Overview

Pax8 Real-Time Pricing & Availability works with all divisions of Pax8. Before you can setup and use the Pax8 Real-Time Pricing & Availability features you need to obtain your credentials from Pax8. Regional pricing and availability will be loaded based on your Pax8 account settings.

 

Setup

1. Select the Real-time tab of the Tools -> Options menu, then select the Pax8 sub-tab.

 

2. Click Connect to link your Pax8 account. You will need to enter your Pax8 credentials on the Pax8 website.

 

3. Once you have entered your credentials you will receive a confirmation that your account has been connected to QuoteWerks. To test this connection click on Test.

 

Field Mapping

In this section you can set how you want fields to be mapped and how to build part numbers based on the billing and commitment terms.

Part Number - set which field to place the Pax8 Part Number. This is defaulted to Manufacturer Part Number.

Pax8 GUID - set which field to place the Pax8 GUID. This is defaulted to CustomText20.

Long Description Field - set which field to place the Long Description from Pax8. This is defaulted to CustomMemo01.

Item Type - set which item type to use for items pulled in from Pax8.

 

Pax8 uses a part number (SKU) to identify each item. These part numbers do not by default show the billing and commitment terms. To easily identify an items billing and commitment terms QuoteWerks creates an amended part number using a suffix for both the billing and commitment terms:

Billing Terms Suffix

Here you can set how to amend the Pax8 part number to reflect the items billing terms. You can set a 4 character suffix for each billing term which will be placed at the end of the Pax8 part number.

 

For example, based on the above settings, if you are using part number 1234 and it is on a monthly billing cycle, the amended part number will be 1234-MON. Alternatively a annual billing cycle will have an amended part number of 1234-ANN.

 

Commitment Terms Suffix

Here you can set how to amend the Pax8 part number to reflect the items commitment terms. You can set a 4 character suffix for each commitment term which will be placed at the end of the Pax8 part number and billing terms suffix.

 

Note:Billing and Commitment terms are used together to build the amended part number. For example, based on the above settings, if you have a monthly billing cycle with a 12 month commitment and the Pax8 part number if 1234, the amended part number will be 1234-MON-1YR. A yearly billing cycle with a 3 year commitment would have an amended part number of 1234-ANN-3YR.
