Issue:
I am receiving the following error: Error opening connection in ConnOpen() Error (-2147467259) Login failed for user ' ConnectString=UserID= Source=<"databasename".local;Provider=sqloledb; Cause: QuoteWerks Corporate Edition requires that the SQL Server is running in Mixed Mode. Your SQL server may be set to Windows Authentication. Solution: Launch the SQL Enterprise Manager and right-click on the QuoteWerks database and select Properties. On the Security Tab of the SQL Server Properties window, select the Radio Button labeled "SQL Server and Windows." To change the authentication mode from Windows NT Authentication Mode (only) to Mixed Mode, use the following steps: 1. Open the Enterprise Manager. 2. Expand a Server group. 3. Right-click a server name, and then click Properties. 4. Click the Security tab. 5. Under Authentication, click the SQL Server and Windows option button. 6. Restart SQL Server in order for the change to take effect. With MSDE, the setting you'll likely need to use is "SQL and WinNT Authentication", rather than just "SQL Authentication".
